Hey there! đź‘‹
As we mentioned in our recent announcement, we’ve introduced a few changes to how contacts are added and how campaigns are created. The goal? To make everything simpler, faster, and easier to control. You now get a chance to review contacts before sending an entire list—or just selected contacts—into a campaign, giving you more flexibility and confidence in your outreach. ✨
To get started, navigate to the Lists tab in your dashboard. This will open a brand-new view where you can create and manage your lists in a more organized way. 🗂️ Click on New to begin.
Step 1: Name Your List and Choose a Source
Start by giving your list a clear and recognizable name so you can easily find it later.
Next, choose how you would like to create your list:
- Select New list to add contacts or companies immediately.
- Select Skip for now to create an empty list and add data later.
If you choose New list, select one of the available sources:
Contact sources
- LinkedIn search result – Import contacts from a regular LinkedIn people search.
- Sales Navigator search result – Add contacts from a Sales Navigator lead search.
- Recruiter search result – Import contacts from a LinkedIn Recruiter search.
- LinkedIn post – Add people who engaged with a specific LinkedIn post.
- CSV contact import – Upload a CSV file containing individual contacts.
Company sources
- Accounts search result – Import companies from a Sales Navigator account search. You can later match these companies with relevant contacts and use them for enrichment or outreach.
- CSV company import – Upload a CSV file containing company information and create a company-based list.
Depending on the selected source, paste the corresponding LinkedIn or Sales Navigator URL, or upload your CSV file.
Once everything is ready, click Next to continue. ➡️
Step 2: Configure Contact Discovery Options
Next, you’ll see options for finding contacts. Here you’ll also notice a new option:
Discover contacts’ InMail Status — this checks whether a contact has an Open Profile, helping you better understand your messaging opportunities. 💬
After selecting your preferences, click Discover to start building your list.
Please note: The next options will depend on the source you selected. Contact sources continue with contact discovery settings, while company sources create an account-based list that you can use to find and match relevant contacts.
Step 3: Wait for Discovery to Complete
Once discovery begins, your list will start populating with contacts.
This process may take up to 30 minutes before contacts begin appearing under Total contacts, depending on the source size. ⏳
While discovery is running, you’ll see a “Discovery in progress…” message under the source. When the process is finished, that message disappears, confirming your list is ready. ✅
Step 4: Review Your Contacts
Click on the list name to open it and view all discovered contacts.
Here’s where the new workflow really shines—you can now carefully review contacts before deciding what to do next. 🔍
This gives you full control to:
Validate lead quality
Remove unwanted contacts
Prepare only the best prospects for outreach 🎯
What’s Next?
Once your list looks good, you can push:
The entire list, or
Only selected leads directly into a campaign.
This extra review step helps you stay precise, organized, and efficient—so your campaigns perform better with less guesswork. 🚀
