Let’s Start with the Basics:
- When you open the Campaign Builder, you’ll see Invite to Connect listed among the actions on the right side of the screen.
Invite to Connect is a LinkedIn action where you invite leads to join your network. You can send invitations to your 2nd and 3rd-degree connections, but for safety, we recommend sending invites only to your 2nd-degree contacts.
You can send up to 200 invites per week—that’s LinkedIn’s limit. Once you reach the limit, Sales Engagement Tool will pause the invitation sending until next week to keep your account safe. You can adjust these limits on the Global Limits page.
How to Create a Connector Campaign:
1. Simple Campaign
- This is the easiest setup: a flow that consists of Invite to Connect > Message steps. This means only leads who accept your connection request will move to the Message step. Whether they accept immediately, after a week, or even after a year, they’ll continue down the sequence when they accept.
You can add as many Message follow-ups as you'd like, with the time delay of your choice between them.
2. Engaging Campaign
- This type of campaign allows you to engage with leads faster and in more ways than just sending a message to 1st-degree connections. The flow might look like this:
- After sending the invite to connect, there’s a condition ‘If Connected’ that checks if the lead has accepted your connection request within a set time frame (e.g., 2 days).
- Leads who accept will move to the Message step, and those who don’t will continue to the View step, followed by the rest of the flow.
Note: If a lead accepts your connection request before the time delay (e.g., 1 day or 2 hours), they’ll move to the Message step immediately, without waiting for the delay to finish.
Which Option is Better?
The best choice depends on your campaign goals and expectations. Both options are effective and will bring leads, so you can’t go wrong with either. Just remember to set the time delay for the If Connected condition to at least 2 days to give your leads enough time to review your request.
